This year’s world fly fishing championship is taking place in the Czech Republic, which is my favourite country, not only because of beautiful women and beer, but also and especially due to the magnificent fly fishing in South Bohemia. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Czechs can do it very well and they are doing it again this year. The competition is taking place between 27th May and 2nd June 2014 in the midst of mesmerizing nature in the south of the country. Landscape there is dominated by alluring rounded hills and lush spruce and pine forests. Geology is mostly very old and the bedrock is siliceous, therefore rivers seem darker.<\/p>\n

Competition will be going on in several sectors on the Vltava river (Vltava 28 and 29) and lakes Lipno II and Kv\u011bto\u0148ov. Practise waters will be Vltava 24, 25 and 26, Mal\u0161e river and \u010cern\u00e1 river. All these waters are packed with indigenous brown trout that grows up to 50 cm, rainbow trout, chub, brook trout and grayling.<\/p>\n

I am a big Czech Republic fan and have been visiting this amazing country since my childhood. People there are friendly, food is excellent and scenery absolutely enchanting. I won’t even mention divine and angelic beer that gives you wings no matter the situation!<\/p>\n

In case you can go there during the world fly fishing championship or some other time, make sure you also visit the true jewel of the architecture, a pocket town of \u010cesk\u00fd Krumlov, which is in the vicinity. You won’t regret it.<\/p>\n
